Hello! Today’s blog will go over which tools Donastars own Mike, always keeps in his bag when going in for a job. These are great things to keep on hand in case there is a quick fix to your beverage servicing problems. In our video, which provides a good visual depiction of the tools, Mike explains that his toolbox may be more expansive for a bigger project but these are the tools he always has on hand no matter how intensive the job will be.
Tubing Cutters: Used to cut tubing to a certain length; also known as pipe cutters.
Oetiker Pliers: Used to clamp stepless oetiker clamps onto tubing, also helps to remove the clamps.
Thermometer: Used to test the temperature of the product.
Allen keys: A common tool used to drive bolts and screws with hexagonal sockets in their heads; also known as a hex key.
Crescent Wrench: A versatile tool used on a wide range of nuts and hex-headed bolts. This could be used when your beverage nozzel is stuck in the open position.
Needle nose pliers: Ideal for working in tight spaces, used to cut small-gauge wire.
Locking Pliers: Great for pinching lines so you don’t have to shut down whole systems when working on one aspect of a machine.
Size Adjustable Wrenches: Used to turn or loosen a nut or bolt; the different lengths allow varying degrees of torque to be applied.
Screwdrivers: Another common tool used for the insertion/removal of screws. This is a necessary tool when assembling a highball tower sleeve!
Cleaning Brush: Critical for cleaning nozzles and diffusers.
Syrup Ratio Cups and Syrup Separators: Used to set syrup ratios and adjust syrup ratios on your fountain dispenser.
