We recently installed a Lancer TST (touch screen tower) at a location in Everett, WA for Smart Soda. We have installed several of these units in the past for Smart Soda but this is the first in Washington State. Coincidentally, Donastar headquarters is located in WA which gave us an opportunity for our own, Josh Gutierrez, Business Development Lead, to attend the installation and meet with our service partner who was performing the install. It is always great when we have the chance to be face to face with the people we work with around the country and see things firsthand. The experience and lessons learned, we take with us for future services and relationships!
What is admirable about these TST machines is their appearance and their functionality. It is usually hard to conquer both! These units are very sleek looking when installed. I will discuss a few specifics about the machine. The tower dispenser with a digital touch screen allows for up to 10 flavor choices and is mounted to the counter. The tower is connected to a chiller that chills and carbonates the water and chills up to 6 flavor lines as well. For this installation, there is the Smart Soda Alkaline water filtration supplying all the water being dispensed. The installation process is a bit different as well. If a technician hasn’t installed these units before they will find some slightly unique differences from a standard fountain dispenser. The most obvious is setting up the marketing on the screen and calibrating the valves. The other difference is the remote chiller/carbonator.
